Applying Online for Jobs is a Bad Idea

Most positions have to be applied online now days, and that is a bad idea because half of the time your resume or application is over looked, there aren’t very many places you can go to and be able to walk in and apply, because when you look at the ads in the paper they don’t give you an address all they give you is a Fax number or an email address to apply for that position, you can’t go into a company to fill out an application for employment anymore. It may be a faster scheme to apply for a job but, applying online for a job is a bad concept because there are a lot of applicants who apply online and the employers may not even see their resume or job application because they ‘re just scanning through the resumes not really looking at each and everyone, your resume could just be sitting out there in cyborg place and never get looked at. This is a slow process and is hard to get discovered by a potential employers.

This was changed since the year 2000 begin, applicants need to be able to apply directly at the companies so that they can rep the chance to actually talk to someone and express their interest in the position which they’re applying for, and to be able to put their application in someones hand and if they’re applying online you just summit it and may never hear from them, at lease if you’re able to got to the company you can give them a follow-up call or something to find out if they’re even considering your application at all.

This is why applying online for jobs is a bad idea, and the only good thing about it is it’s faster and they’ll get your resume right away and you don’t have to leave your house to apply those are the well-behaved reasons but, the fact is you may not ever get discovered and all you can do is send another email to a email address which may get ignored especially if they’re not interested, and you won’t be able to speak to anyone about your resume and your qualifications.

So, you sit and Wonder if they ever received it because they never sent you back any reply saying if the position was taken or not or if you are being consider or not. So, most applicant are left smooth wondering, and after a determined amount of time you realize you need to move on to something else, and it’s the same process unless you find an ad telling you to apply in person.

This process applying online for a job is a bad concept, and should be done the venerable fashion way because there are a lot of applicant who is qualified for these positions and they’re resumes are just being scanned or surf through without even looking at most of them, and I know a lot of these applicant does have the right skills and qualifications for these positions if the employer would just take the time to gape at the resumes more closely. Some things shouldn’t be done on the Internet especially if so many applicants are being over looked. What will happen by the year 2012 in five years, if this process keeps up we will have many unmployed people who could have had a status that they did have the skills and technology for just passed them by.

It’s great to be able to apply in the privacy of your home and not have to go out and deal with traffic or the weather but, to many applicants are being overlooked, and I’m sure most of the employers properly like the thought of not having their spot of business filled with unemployed applicants looking for jobs but, it really is better if you can see and speak to someone about the position you’re applying for.

The Internet is a great place to find tons of positions and is better than looking in the papers because, you have thousands of positions you can check through and is able to peep whats out there but, when it come to applying online that is not a good process if you want to get that job you are qualified for.
