The Dell XPS Studio 13 is a nice sleek and stylish 13.3 "screen laptop. It is a fusion of leather, aluminum and plastic – these are the three materials the back of the lid. When you open this laptop the first thing we liked was the way the touch buttons light up, then you also see The backlit keyboard. Having the backlight for the buttons is a big plus point.
Including keyboard keys are well separated pseudo key space. Not only do the buttons have backlight, but the mouse buttons also make the trackpad and the buttons are a joy to hit. Although trackpad is smooth and proper, is slightly smaller. Some features of this laptop is not that we like too is the thickness and weight.
We find it in the laptop too thick for 13.3 inch screen and it is also partly the weight side weighing in at 2.2 kgs. Looking to the side of the laptop we found some interesting port. With a combined Esata-USB port on the right, a DisplayPort and a HDMI port on the left, and instead of regular single headphone and microphone ports, with two 3.5 mm ports for the headphones port accompanied by a microphone. The optical drive in the laptop is the kind of slot loading.
The laptop screen is really something to talk about, it is really great viewing angles as you can sit on the side and still see a clear picture. The inbuilt speaker is decent, nothing out of ordinary, but only a slightly better than average. This motherboard has an Nvidia chipset MCP79MX and also a GeForce 9400M graphics solution to work together in Hybrid SLI. Stacked up to 2 GB DDR3 memory, this is a really good performer.
The battery that came with the laptop is a 4-cell battery and it will take for A total of 1 hour and 25 minutes under the performance of Hybrid SLI mode – this is what we expect from a 4-cell battery.
If you are ready to view Exteriors past, the Dell XPS Studio 13 is a good buy. The model we received cost Rs. 59,900 and is certainly a great performer in the present configuration, but the price will vary according to the hardware you choose.
