Why can you see the red color of a fiber cable or Mulitmode 850 Panel?
The spectrum of visible light is 380-750nm and a multimode optical fiber runs on 850nm. If you are in a dark area you will see the red color comes from the cable or panel. (I'm not looking directly at the source or cable end). Why are you able to see any color, as it should be operating outside the visible spectrum?
Red wavelengths between 630 nm and 740nm have. The information is sent at the speed of light, but propagrates through a transparent medium (fiber), resulting in light radiation and reduce the approxiamately 200,000 km / s that cause the shorter wavelengths to be there for the waves emitted in the light as red.
