my right hamstring is sore…what does that mean and what should I do?
Since Wednesday night, I’ve been trying to stretch every night so I can get more flexible because I’m trying out for the dance team in May. I warmed up to the point where it was like a mini-cardio workout (because I realize I go further with a warm-up, and I have to be sweating a little). Wednesday night, it felt great and I felt more limber the next day, same after I stretched Thursday night although my wrist hurt, but last night I didn’t stretch all that much because I was tired (had only 6 hours of sleep those days) but I did the best that I could, and I think while I was sitting down I reached for my right foot with my head touching my knee and without pain, but I woke up and my right hamstring is pulled!!! Does this mean that it’s gonna take a long time for me to regain that flexibility again? I worked so hard for this, flexibility doesn’t come naturally to me, and I really want to be on the dance team What can I do?
Rest it up. Don’t over do it or you could rip it away from the bone. Then you can kiss the dance team goodbye.
