What are the leading brands of home theater systems in the market?
I'm not talking about the home theater – in a box (pre-boxed) systems such as Sony or Panasonic, which is usually under $ 500. I talking about common to put all elements together yourself. I have zero knowledge as to make the best system of home cinema. It would great if you list down several brands and top websites that sell them.
You should likely check out the Amazon (link below) for most of them, as they offer free shipping on most AV receivers and can usually takes $ 100 or more off the price of a receiver. I actually spoke to a pro AV in Circuit City the other day, and here is the feel of his receivers: Top line: Denon (and some Sony's). They make the highest quality of receivers capable of doing pretty much anything you want. However, he will notice the me (and I feel it) to set up a Denon system was not for the faint of heart inexperienced. He said he saw people in its struggle for days before calling an expert. Pretty good: Yamaha and Onkyo (and Harmon Kardon). Both make similar styles of receivers is neutral (moderately) good set up. I know Onkyo provides a microphone that should optimize the quality of sound and to the point where you put the mike. I do not think Yamaha's already in their mid – range receivers. After: Sherwood and other works. Just not the type of product you want to buy if you're looking for quality. These are more of the "just-scraping-on By "Style receivers. I would spend a little extra to ensure you have a quality product that can last over a year or two. For a people just looking to get to market (this sound like you are), you may want to check the Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver style. It has up-converstion, ie you can run a single HDMI cable to your HDTV, and all other video signal format to work. It has 2 HDMI inputs, 3 component video inputs and 4 digital audio inputs, which should be plenty in the last moment. The set up is fairly obvious in the receiver and gives more power to speakers. Most important, you can find it (for now) for $ 400 – $ 500 USD to some retail outlets, including Amazon. A big receiver only if you are getting them. Also, the speaker various topics. Not like the brand I listed above, you want to look at Boston Acoustics, Polk Audio, JBL and Bose, to name a few. The quality of sound and speakers will do more and late.
