What is an Intel Atom CPU/Processor Equivelent to?
What is an Intel Atom CPU/Processor Equivelent to in normail Desktop PC’s? I’m bought an Acer Netbook and it’s fast. I’m not very familiar with the Atom, I have an old AMD Sempron in my Homemade computer and it seems to do fine and is fairley fast. Is an Atom faster than this? Is it like a Celeron in all the new Normal Laptops?

atom is a fundamentally differnt CPU from intel. you feel that it is fast because your comparing it your old sempron. its not compared to modern cpus like core i7s. its good for netbooks because of its low profile and very low TDP.
