Working on my bachelor’s degree in marketing a few years ago, an opportunity was presented to me to head up an Internet marketing effort in Texas for a Modern York studio. I reported directly to the president of the company, who has earned respect in the industry. During a conversation with the President of this New York studio regarding conversion rate, he replied to me that if a customer asks what the conversion rate or the expected sales will be, then that customer does not understand advertising. He said advertising is about exposure not about sales and it is up to the sales representatives to sell. Well, I set out on my journey three years ago to figure out a plot to increase the odds of conversion from Internet marketing. Research and testing email marketing, search engine marketing, Safe lists, traffic exchanges, banner exchange and more, our partnership, Web Writers International came to the conclusion that quality traffic on the Internet should be a higher priority than quantity of traffic; unless you work for a large company who has a 6-digit Internet marketing budget. We also concluded that the search engines offered the highest targeted advertising on the Internet. Many will argue with me that eMail marketing is the highest quality or targeted advertising on the Net. That may be true in the sense that those who sign up for a eNewsletter or to receive promotions are those who want the products and or newsletter. That may be true but, only when the subscriber wants the product. For example, I get bombarded by emails from a collectibles company who we have purchased jewelry from. The cost of emailing thousands of people everyday is broad. I sure hope that company does not believe I will buy jewelry everyday. So, what is the cost per lead or sale for them? That is a very distinguished statistic that needs to be calculated. The cost is minimal when you have a subscriber list for the cost is only manpower (graphics designer and web designer), basically. Those searching on the net are most likely ready to purchase proper then. Also, a website is built once and can stay online forever unlike email campaigns have to be created for each new blast. I admit window shoppers exist but, less chance of wasted advertising with search engine marketing (natural listings, not saying Pay for Performance) over eMail marketing.
A marketing mix is important and every type of advertising has its place, even eMail marketing but, the conversion rate is much higher with the SEO system from Web Writers International. The safelists and the traffic exchanges work in a method that sellers all come to join a club (basically) and exchange advertisements. I continue to use safelists and traffic exchanges but, only to do blasts about once a month. We also heavily archaic the traffic exchange sites and safelists the past three months to test the reaction to our first social website size spot, MyStateToday.Com with prayers that the data was genuine. But, the manpower of safelists, traffic exchanges and eMail marketing is more extensive than search engine marketing due to having to create advertising campaigns for each blast. SEO can be very misleading though and merchants all over the world have been burned by advertising companies since the existence of commerce. A marketing mix is quite important as I stated before but, Web Writers International presents a SEO plan like no others that is still in a testing Phase but, by all indications it is producing. Raoul achieve a stamp out on the side of the road that advertised the website we designed for him. He has booked over 20 banquets in two years from a website he paid $650.00 for. That is an incredible conversion rate for the dollars he spent. Even though SEO was not a focus we offer a one time shot at the search engines for all the websites we build unless the customer pays for our SEO program. With a one time shot, today RaoulsItalianGrill.Com is #7 in Google under, “Houston Italian Grills.” The Doll Hospital has 10 listings in the top 3 positions of the search engines and 19 listings on the first page; this includes a #3 position in Yahoo for a one key word search term of “Puppen” for the website we designed to market The Doll Hospital in Germany. What is that all worth? The only arrangement to value a listing is by data supplied by the big companies such as Google, Yahoo and Go Daddy. According to Google AdWords, the key word, “Puppen” is used 1,181 – 1,470 per day, which would cost $370 – $650 per day on the left side of Google (Pay for Performance – per click advertising). So, what is the worth in Yahoo then? Well, we do not use the Overture system from Yahoo due to we cannot validate the data. A good example is the key words, “Houston Restaurants” according to Overture is not used at all in Yahoo. That is, Yahoo is saying that nobody ever searches for Houston restaurants using the term, “Houston Restaurants.” If you believe that then I have some prime swamp land to sell you. So, what is the value in all the other search engines other than Google? That can only be determined by traffic statistics such as Google Analytics or Go Daddy’s Traffic Facts, which we are back again at whether we can validate the data. Web Writers International believes that our marketing systems can only be measured three ways: first, we believe the Google AdWords to be wonderful data and feel we can show it, next is we are installing counters on all of our web pages and lastly but, most important, sales. Using the understanding of creating multiple websites that have extreme key word usage is the focus of Web Writers International. Why low key word usage? Because the competition is less and the chance of getting on the first page of Google is much better but, getting on the first page of Google and or Yahoo under a relevant one or two key word search requires a .com domain. Very few left these days and that is where Web Writers International offers the best in SEO services because we can put a SEO marketing plan together at an affordable price. We objective purchased three domains for the Doll Hospital this morning where the focused key words ad up to 145 to 165 times per day. Are the other domains worth buying? The other domains can succeed in getting listed under rather relevant two and three-key word searches but, they will not draw the traffic of the two-key word or one-key word search and they will not get on Google under a two-key word search term. Our shopping website, StoresOnline.ws is on the first page of Bing under the keyword search term, “Stores Online.” According to Google Analytics and Traffic Facts we are getting traffic from Bing, Yahoo and Google using this .ws domain. To start your marketing program, remember that a marketing mix is distinguished. Not honest Internet but, a marketing mix should include static and other forms of marketing. The Internet marketing should be a marketing mix of eMail, traffic exchanges, safelists and banner exchanges but, the key focus should be on SEO because SEO creates highly targeted website visitors. Those visitors are searching for your product and or service. The next time a marketing company offers your SEO using “rather” relevant key words, retain this article book marked so you can show them or ask them the appropriate questions.
