Lenovo is known for producing value for money and the G series laptops laptops earned them praise from people for that. The budget minded mainstream notebook packs a decent sized display 15.6-inch Intel Pentium Dual Core, 3 GB DDR3 RAM for a standard configuration. The price of about of $ 500 may seem netbookish but the display size and performance is not nonsense. Let's take a look at the laptop to see if they have missed something important to reduce the price.
Table 2.56 kg of G550 seems to promise too thick set build quality, but is not above the standards ThinkPad. There is nothing important to worry about, but the chassis is much more flexible than the Acer Aspire 5739G, and there is a fair amount of give the Cover, too. If you Lenovo decides to heavy on your travels, the battery life is the way: idle with the screen set to mid brighness lasted 3h 52mins with a full load.
The screen has a nice size of 15.6 inches which shows 1366 X 768 pixels in standard 16: 9 format. The screen is a lot a brilliant display of bright colors and contrast, but as with other manifestations bright, the brightness of the display brightly lit environments, like in the office, it is very annoying to see things on the screen. The viewing angle horizontal was great to share the screen with a couple of his friends, but the vertical viewing angle is not very good.
The keyboard is easy to write about, sharing the same feel as comfortable and durable keyboard my ThinkPad T60 and differing only in the layout. Individual key action is smooth, without audible click when pressed. The keys are textured with a smooth matte finish, giving traction to write decent … unlike the shiny keyboards that we are seeing in a number larger notebooks today. Keyboard support is excellent, just a hint of flex in the main section of the keyboard. The chassis at 16:09 latest Lenovo G550 allowed NumberPad to add a keyboard, but not change the medium in which the frame side of the keyboard. He does not seem to have much flex, but has just enough to make a hissing sound against when holding the optical drive. Media-related keys are limited to touch mute and volume up / down buttons located above the keyboard.
This machine features a dual-core performance and improvement, including most of its rivals around this price. Applications run faster and multiple tasks can be performed simultaneously without slowing down the system.
Graphics performance is less impressive, but improves the Advent in the same manner specified Rome 2000 and Toshiba Satellite L450-136. There is power enough for domestic use in general as well as basic photo and video editing, but do not expect to play the latest computer games.
The capacious 320GB hard drive doubles the capacity of the HP and Toshiba and store files of an entire family. This is one of the laptops only it has no Card Reader, however. Keep this in mind if you want to upload pictures from a digital camera camera.
While the G550 is now larger than the G530, Lenovo has managed to decrease the amount of available ports. The ExpressCard slot is missing, the USB ports are down four to three, and modem plug is missing. I see no other reason than to reduce the costs for this waste of resources. There are three USB ports, optical drive, Kensington slot Lock, LAN, VGA, and audio jacks.
Lenovo G550 15.6 "laptop weighs 2.7 kg. This Lenovo laptop comes in gray and black. Battery life offered for calculations normal is about 4 hours. The cost of this mobile computer is currently £ 434.
The Lenovo G550 is a solid budget notebook with a decent performance. If you can bear with the touchpad and not responding port needs more than what we have, is recommended for those who are looking for a mainstream computer budget.
