Advertising Agency:

An advertising agency is a company made up of marketing specialists whose job it is to relieve companies in the conception and preparation of advertising campaigns. Advertising agencies employ people who are highly qualified in specialized areas such as copywriting or the visual arts, and who are friendly of offering both a creative and objective view on the subject of the advertising concepts.

Account Executive:

Account executives serve as a connection between the client and the agency. Creative Director:

The creative director’s job is actually somewhat misnamed. It is usually more of a management position than a truly creative position; like a Film producer. The tasks of the creative director are associated with ensuring the highest possible quality of the final product. That means being accomplished impartial enough in all the other creative aspects of the advertising game like artwork, photography, writing, etc., but not necessarily being what you might term a towering talent in any one particular spot. Nevertheless, the bulk of awards and kudos fall into the lap of the creative director rather than any of the actually creative talent they were charged with pushing to their limits. Essentially, what makes a sizable creative director is that singular ability to have a comprehensive vision and know how to wring every last ounce of creativity from the rest of the crew in order to achieve it.

Art Director: Art directors are responsible for work on the visual side of advertising, usually in partnership with a copywriter. They come up with unusual ideas in response to a brief from the client. The art director is involved in all stages of the project, from initial concepts, to the completion of a finished product. Advertising art directors are also responsible for engaging other members of the creative team, such as illustrators, photographers, designers, etc.

Copywriter:

The copywriter is the individual charged with creating words that wait on ideally to sell a product, but in such a way that it doesn’t actually seem as if they are merely selling a product. The copy produced by this writer has the primary intention of persuasion, but that doesn’t necessarily mean to persuade one to buy a product simply for the way it can better one’s life. Especially in modern advertising terms, a copywriter is charged with making the idea of the purchase relevant to the customer’s sense of self, though paradoxically that sense of self is typically engendered by external stimuli that, you guessed it, was originally constructed as a result of earlier successful advertising. Copywriting duties can hasten the gamut from a mostly text-oriented direct mailing, to the lyrics of a jingle, to a four word internet banner. Copywriters are vital in the creation of it newspaper advertisement, billboards, catalog descriptions, and even e-mail content.
