Applications using Remote Assistance in training of interactive software and low cost
While most of us hear features about assistance Remote, which tends to come to our mind is something to do with the resolution of technical problems. For the few of us who happen to be familiar with the concept of Remote Assistance, we tend to perceive it as something through which the subject-tech is temporarily unable to access our computers from where it lie, and sort software programs that may be bothering us there.
But this is a very limited view of the remote assistance, which probably has everything to do with the name of the resource – and our psychological tendency to try to understand the role of things in their names.
The truth of the matter is that there are many other areas where the resources of remote assistance can be of use in addition to solving computer problems, which is what most of us tend to limit them. Training Software is one such area.
Through the use of, remote assistance, aided by something like a phone service or better yet, the free voice of the Internet (VOIP) system, you can perform highly effective, interactive software training a lot cheaper. Ideally this would be happening in an organizational level, possibly as part of a new employee induction. This is like a financial organization hires a new person who can already by familiar with computers, but that needs to be taught how to use the specific variety of financial software used by the organization. Instead of having these trips from one person to the seat where they can be taught to work with the software (and where Travel can be expensive and time consuming), it would be possible to train them right in their subsidiaries, using the remote assistance software.
This remote assistance software training based on the trainee would give access to a desktop's network organization, putting them in touch with the tech-guys at headquarters and the creation of a provision for voice communication in real time between the two (perhaps through VOIP). The headquarters-based tech guys, through the use of remote assistance, you can assume temporary control of the workstation of interns and explaining various things about the voice system, demonstrate how to go about them right on the screen – to do for the actual training, interactive, as the candidate can ask questions. After the demonstration, the trainee may be asked to try out various things on the computer (with control of having reverted to them), as the trainers see the impact of their actions through a desktop application sharing. The errors can be corrected and clarified gray areas, to make a very good training. And the cost of implementing of the whole exercise (especially the bit when voice communication is done via VOIP) may be insignificant compared to what would have been incurred in travel costs (and possible costs of living) for the training of headquarters-based. And in the final analysis, this would be a much more effective training than the training lecture model, the worker would probably have received in a traditional setting, which would have a tendency to leave many areas of problem unsolved. In other words, this assistance remote-based training is more practical and interactive in its approach.
