If I can get a new never been used or slightly used military surplus barrel for my Mosin-Nagant?
I have an old Mosin-Nagant is much as usual, most likely in the battle! The barrel is pitted all years of use and corrosive ammunition. So accuracy is horrible you can not hit a target 25 meters! So I was wondering if there was some were in Atlanta GA as a military surplus store that sells new or used good condition. If there is a good website online I can order one???
If the crown is damaged, you may be able to find a dealer that can counterbore barrel. Often, this can bring some certainty back to a tube that has been used in the crown. Mosins not shoot well under 100 yards yards. I have had the same problems and have heard the same complaint from others. Try 100 yards from a bench and sandbags or a break. What ammunition is used? Some surplus is much better than others. Change the barrel is not really worth it in $ 100 a gun. Just bought another rifle.
