Starting into Affiliate Marketing
|
I’m a college student and like most students I was flat broke working as mighty as I could and my debt piling up as I had to pay for school and rent. So being the computer science major I took to the internet trying to find ways to manufacture a few extra dollars to help help myself. What I found was scam after scam and I will be the first to admit I was suckered into a few and lost a little bit of money. After that I was rather disheartened and wanted to just give up on the whole thing, but I persevered and boy am I glad that I did.
Affiliate Marketing was a term that I had come across often in my searches and I will be objective I did not know much about it at the time, but I will break it down for you now. There are two ways you can earn money through affiliate marketing. The first is really the essence of what affiliate marketing is you are a salesman and you promote a product, and for each sale you gather yourself a commission. It’s a simple enough business model to follow in which both you and the company whose product you are selling win. The second way to earn money through affiliate marketing is to recruit other people to that affiliate program. This blueprint you earn a small percentage of whatever that person sells. Essentially it is like each person you can recruit is your employee and whatever they sell you procure a fragment of the action. After figuring out all of this stuff for myself I set out on the task of finding the right affiliate program for me, and I was not going to be suckered into anymore scams. So I took some precaution and set up some ground rules for myself. 1. It should be completely free. This just makes sense if it is a legitimate opportunity they should want as many people to come sell their stuff as possible, and what does charging a fee do? It makes you say, maybe this is not for me. 2. Don’t be fooled by anything that offers quick riches. It is always too good to be true, though in the back of my mind one day I hope I will make that $5,000 a day. Riches can be made, but like anything it is going to take effort and time. 3. Offers both types of affiliate earnings. Now the one I found that I particularly like using is The Five Pillar Club. It right off the launch does not charge you a cent to participate. Second nowhere does it make ridiculous claims that you will be rich instantly. Finally it offers both types of affiliate programs, both selling their products and recruiting other affiliate marketers. Another thing that I really like about it is that it offers payout to your paypal account. It met my three conditions and I decided I would get it a chance and check it out. Right off the bat I was very impressed with this company. They had multiple informational tools at your disposal, and a variety of methods to develop you money that didn’t involve any money from me. What really sold me was how helpful it was gearing both towards new and veteran affiliate marketers alike. Now when I first started my earnings were quite crude as I expected, but the more effort I establish into I saw my earnings rise and rise. I am even starting to pay off student loans, and I haven’t even graduated. Any questions you have feel free to ask in the comments or send me a message. |
