Why Online Marketers Post on Twitter

The mysteries of online marketing are finally being unraveled for me and I would like to pass on to you a limited fraction of what I’ve learned recently. Social networking was one of the biggest perplexities and now, I’m happy to say, the fog is lifting. A good Internet marketing program has come to my rescue.

Being very current to Internet marketing, and being told to start with posting short tweets on Twitter, I wondered what the usefulness of this would be. I then watched a training video created by John Jackson of Carbon Copy Pro, an Internet marketing program, and began to understand.

His analogy was to old-fashioned local radio stations years ago. They would start out with just a handful of listeners who became intrigued by the programs and news items, then told their friends, and the audience gradually grew and grew. With Twitter, he suggested to start out posting titillating comments, articles, news items and inspiring quotes, occasionally mentioning your Special interest, i.e. a link to your business, and slowly, slowly your audience builds. I needed an Internet marketing program to explain these things to me.

I’ve been trying this out for the last six weeks or so and have grown to about 4,000 followers in that time. My audience is growing! What a little training from a real Internet marketing program can do. I’ve looked at the statistics and every one of my tweets have been read several time by someone. I’m taking this to mean that I’m tweeting interesting items of information.

John stressed most clearly that what we send out must be of real value and not just superficial fad nonsense. I couldn’t agree more. Sadly, so many Internet marketing programs don’t stress this enough so the Internet is filled with such stuff and I don’t want to add to it.

So, if you’ve been hesitant to inaugurate into this “New Age” world of social marketing, plunge right in and obtain yourself a good Internet marketing program and you’ll be wallowing in a sea of good unusual knowledge as you search for items to send out and fabricate your business.
